Egyptian Drug Authority: Conclusion of Workshop on Validation Processes and Pharmaceutical Inspection Findings in Drug Manufacturing and Production
The Egyptian Drug Authority announced the conclusion of the workshop on validation processes and pharmaceutical inspection findings in drug manufacturing and production, which was organized by the Local Pharmaceutical Industry Development Unit under the General Administration for Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Inspection, in cooperation with the Central Administration for Inspection of Pharmaceutical Institutions. This comes as part of the Authority’s commitment to enhancing human resources and building capacities and competencies within the pharmaceutical sector.
The workshop aimed to strengthen continuous technical support, reinforce communication channels with industry partners, raise awareness of modern pharmaceutical practices, and further develop the capabilities of human resources within the sector.
The workshop activities included presentations of detailed case studies addressing deficiencies in validation processes and inspection findings, in addition to conducting intensive group work activities and discussion sessions focused on applying the Lifecycle Approach in process validation, as well as exchanging expertise on continuous verification mechanisms and strengthening effective control strategies.
The workshop was attended by more than 75 trainees from various entities within the pharmaceutical sector, including pharmacists and experts from Quality Assurance (QA), production, and engineering departments, along with representatives from human pharmaceutical companies, reflecting the diversity and integration of expertise within the pharmaceutical system.
This initiative comes within the framework of the Egyptian Drug Authority’s ambitious plan to enhance the professional level of personnel across various pharmaceutical sectors and keep them informed of the latest developments in different fields, contributing to the preparation of qualified human resources capable of achieving institutional excellence and supporting collaboration with the private sector, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals under Egypt Vision 2030.
