Dr. Tamer Mohamed El-Husseini is the Vice Chairman of the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA), a position he has held since January 2025.
He earned his Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Cairo University in 1997.
He previously served as the CEO of the Arab Drug and Chemical Industries Company (ADCO) from August 2024 to January 2025. During this time, he was also a member of the company's board of directors, representing the Holding Company for Pharmaceuticals, Chemicals, and Medical Supplies (Holdi Pharma).
Dr. El-Husseini's professional experience also includes:
- General Manager at Astellas Pharma in the UAE and Saudi Arabia (2019-2022).
- Business Unit Director at Novo Nordisk in the Gulf countries and Saudi Arabia (2013-2019).
- Head of Business Unit and Market Access Director at Bayer Pharmaceuticals (2007-2013).
- Franchise Head for Oncology and Multiple Sclerosis drugs at Schering AG in Jeddah (2001-2007).
- Product Specialist at Schering AG (2000).
