General Overview:

• Approval and evaluation of locally manufactured or imported batches of pharmaceutical products, medical supplies, and raw materials by reviewing company-submitted dossiers, approving and issuing analysis reports and specifications, and examining any changes in analytical methods and specifications to ensure their validity compared to previously approved standards.

• Conducting all physical, chemical, and microbiological analyses of raw materials, pharmaceutical preparations, herbal medicines, cosmetics, veterinary products, household insecticides, and medical supplies, as well as specialized product testing such as hormones and anticancer drugs.

• Monitoring the quality of approved pharmaceutical products, raw materials, and medical supplies—whether locally produced or imported—available in the market. This includes overseeing the quality of products related to tenders, procurement contracts, forensic samples, and investigating unidentified samples, as well as analyzing unknown herbal mixtures to identify their components. Additionally, it involves monitoring the quality of samples submitted due to post-use complaints.
