Dr. Ali Al-Ghamrawy, Chairman of the EDA, received a high-level delegation from the United States Pharmacopeia (USP), as part of efforts to support technical and regulatory cooperation and to strengthen the pharmaceutical regulatory system in line with international best practices and standards.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Tamer Elhossieny, Vice Chairman of the EDA, The USP delegation included Dr. Alessandro Slama, Regional Vice President and Vice President of Operations; Dr. Zakia El Kordi, Regional Manager for the Middle East and Africa; Dr. Sarah El Hilaly, Senior Manager of Public Policy and Regulatory Affairs and USP Representative for the Eastern Mediterranean and North Africa Region; as well as Eng. Dr. Tamer Elhossieny , Vice Chairman of the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) and head of the main commission for Drafting the Egyptian Pharmacopoeia, held the sixteenth meeting at the Authority's headquarters. The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Awad Tag El-Din, Consultant to the President of the Republic for Health and Prevention Affairs, Dr. Hisham Badr, Vice Chairman of the Unified Procurement Authority, in addition to representatives from the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population, and representatives from universities and regulatory sectors of the Authority.

The Committee of the Egyptian Pharmacopeia held its fifteenth meeting, at the headquarter of the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) in Agouza, chaired by Dr. Tamer Elhossieny, Vice Chairman of the Egyptian Drug Authority, with the participation of Dr. Mohamed Awad Tag El-Din, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Health and Prevention Affairs, and Counselor Mohamed El-Damerdash, Deputy Head of the State Council and Legal Advisor to the Authority, in addition to representatives from the Ministry of Health and Population, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Egyptian Unified Procurement Authority, deans of the faculties of pharmacy at Cairo and Ain Shams Universities, and heads of the central administrations of the Egyptian Drug Authority.

The Egyptian Drug Authority Passes International Accreditation Requirements and Obtains WHO Accreditation ""Level 3"" in the Field of Pharmaceuticals
