Chairman of the Egyptian Drug Authority Holds Virtual Meeting with the CEO of the National Health Regulatory Authority in the Kingdom of Bahrain

Dr. Ali El-Ghamrawy, Chairman of the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA), held a virtual meeting with Dr. Ahmed Al Ansari, Chief Executive Officer of the National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The meeting included discussions on several priority topics aimed at strengthening cooperation in the pharmaceutical sector, including the exchange of technical and regulatory expertise. These efforts reflect the mutual trust in the manufacturing and regulatory capabilities of both countries. The dialogue also addressed the expansion of partnerships between industrial institutions to achieve long-term mutual benefit.
Dr. El-Ghamrawy emphasized the importance of this collaboration in achieving shared goals, expressing his aspiration for continued technical coordination with the Bahraini side in the coming phase. This would support the stability of the pharmaceutical sector and contribute to ensuring pharmaceutical security across the region.
Also attending the meeting was Dr. Osama Hatem, Associate Chairman of the EDA for Policy and International Cooperation and Advisor of the Central Administration for Pharmaceutical Policy and Market Access.
This meeting comes as part of the EDA’s efforts to strengthen ties with regional regulatory authorities and support Egypt’s national strategy to open new markets for Egyptian pharmaceuticals, boosting growth opportunities for the local industry and contributing to sustainable development in the healthcare sector.
