EDA Chairman discusses ways of cooperation with representatives of small and medium-sized companies and factories at the Chamber of Pharmaceutical Industry

Dr Ali El-Ghamrawy, Chairman of the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA), received some representatives of small and medium-sized pharmaceutical companies and factories in the Chamber of Pharmaceuticals, Cosmetics and Medical Supplies, to discuss the challenges facing the pharmaceutical industry sector, and means of cooperation between the two sides, in the presence of Dr. Gamal El-Leithy, Chairman of the Pharmaceutical Industry Chamber of the Federation of Industries, and several EDA leaders.
The meeting discussed ways to support small and medium-sized enterprises, to support them to continue working and producing, preserving labor to continue the production process of pharmaceuticals and biopharmaceuticals, as well as ways to encourage and increase exports.
They also discussed ways to localize the industry to improve the competitiveness of Egyptian products, increase the volume of exports, save foreign currency, and reduce the import bill.
For his part, EDA Chairman emphasised that supporting these projects is the backbone of the national economy and the main source of innovations and the implementation of sustainable development goals to achieve development and create job opportunities.
This comes within the framework of EDA's keenness to support economic growth and achieve sustainable development goals as a strategic objective of Egypt's Vision 2030, especially increasing Egyptian exports of pharmaceuticals, and its keenness to create a supportive environment, provide all means of support, and enable small and medium-sized companies and entrepreneurs to invest and grow, and create more job opportunities, thus contributing to the economic development of the state.
