In a New Milestone Adding to Its International Institutional Excellence Egyptian Drug Authority Wins the Vice-Chair Seat of the African Medical Devices Forum (AMDF) under the African Union Development Agency – NEPAD

"The Egyptian Drug Authority participated in the leadership selection meeting for the African Medical Devices Forum (AMDF) under the African Union Development Agency – NEPAD, securing the Vice-Chair seat for a three-year term.
The selection process witnessed strong competition among participating countries. Egypt, represented by the Egyptian Drug Authority, successfully won the Vice-Chair position, reaffirming the confidence of African nations in Egypt’s leadership role and its ability to support and advance the medical devices sector across the continent.
Dr. Ali El-Ghamrawy, Chairman of the Egyptian Drug Authority, emphasized that this appointment reflects the authority’s ongoing dedication to actively participating in various pharmaceutical and regulatory forums across Africa. He underscored EDA’s commitment to collaborating alongside its counterparts in African nations to enhance the continent’s regulatory framework, support the development of medical devices and pharmaceutical products industries, and strengthen Africa’s medical device sector.
