Today, Dr. Ali El-Ghamrawy, Chairman of the Egyptian Drug Authority, held a meeting with Dr. Tarek El-Houbi, Chairman of the National Food Safety Authority, to discuss ways to deepen bilateral relations between the two authorities, and contribute to fruitful cooperation in order to consider topics of common interest.

The heads of the two authorities emphasized the importance of permanent coordination in the fields of regulatory oversight of food safety and pharmaceuticals, and the importance of integration and cooperation between all regulatory authorities in Egypt to ensure the safety of citizens and the effectiveness and safety of the products that reach them.

They pointed out the ability of the two authorities to move forward towards achieving the most important quality of life indicators for the Egyptian citizen, which is access to safe and effective medicine, and the same is the case with regard to the safety of food in circulation, and the citizen's sense of satisfaction and safety, and his enjoyment of sound health.

This came within the framework of continuous communication, exchange of views and opinions, and drawing mechanisms and policies that ensure the citizen's access to well-being and the quality of the pharmaceutical and food services he receives."
