Personal export is a service provided by the Egyptian drug authority as a supervisory authority on medical preparations to review and allow personal medicines to be taken for travel or sent abroad to an acquaintance or relative

Notes:
- Export approval for personal use is issued for a quantity sufficient for a three-month treatment.
- The export approval can be obtained from the Export Support and Follow-up Department at the headquarters of the Egyptian Drug Authority in Maadi or from mobile service centers.
- The minimum period for submitting another personal export request for the same sender and recipient is three months from the date of the last issued export permit.
- The export of subsidized and free medical products is prohibited.
- All types of medical products can be exported except for narcotic drugs and internationally controlled substances.
- The service fee for a personal export permit is two hundred Egyptian pounds, payable upon collection.
- A package of each type of product to be exported must be presented for inspection when collecting the export permit.

Personal Export Application: This is a formal request that clearly states the following: The name of the person sending the medicine (sender). The name of the person receiving the medicine (recipient). The specific types of medicines being sent. The quantity of each type of medicine. The country where the medicine is being sent.

Medical Prescription: A prescription issued by a qualified doctor in the name of the person receiving the medicine. It should specify the daily dosage required for each medication.

Identification: A government-issued identification document, such as a passport or national ID card, for the person sending the medicine
