The Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) announced the successful conclusion of its training program titled "Information Security and its Impact on Your Professional and Personal Life." The program saw the participation of a distinguished group of experts and specialists in the field of information security. This initiative aligns with the EDA's efforts to foster concepts of institutional excellence and raise awareness about the importance of securing daily information.
The program aimed to introduce participants to fundamental concepts of information security, methods hackers use to infiltrate devices and obtain passwords, and how to secure wireless networks and mobile transactions. It also highlighted the importance of protecting institutional data, medical devices, and scientific research data, in addition to introducing the Internet of Things (IoT) and methods for securing it. Furthermore, the program raised awareness about the dangers of social engineering attacks and how to avoid them, and finally, reviewed the most prominent potential risks in the daily work environment and ways to prevent them.
This program is part of the EDA's plan to develop human capabilities and enhance the efficiency of professional cadres to keep pace with global developments and improve the quality of healthcare services. This reflects the authority's commitment to the goals of the Sustainable Development Strategy and Egypt's Vision 2030, achieved through offering advanced training programs and building fruitful partnerships with leading local and international entities.
