The Egyptian Drug Authority Organizes a Scientific Day to enhance Exchange of Expertise Among Hospital Pharmacists
The Egyptian Drug Authority organized a scientific day as part of the “Experience Exchange at EDA – Triple E’s Hub” initiative, within the framework of its ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of pharmaceutical services and elevate the competencies of Egyptian pharmacists. The event aimed to promote the exchange of expertise among pharmacists working across various healthcare institutions.
The scientific day focused on discussing cases of neonatal sepsis. The Central Administration of Pharmaceutical Care organized the event, with participation from pharmacy teams representing multiple healthcare entities. Participants presented clinical cases and reviewed clinical pharmacy interventions, followed by an extensive scientific discussion on best therapeutic practices and management approaches for such cases.
Pharmacists representing a number of healthcare institutions took part in the event, including the General Directorate of Pharmaceutical Affairs at the Ministry of Health and Population through the Health Directorates in Sharqia (Qanayat Central Hospital), Qalyubia (Toukh Central Hospital), and Alexandria (Raml Children’s Hospital). Participants also included representatives from the Health Insurance Organization (Capital Hospital), the Specialized Medical Centers Secretariat (New Cairo Hospital), the General Organization for Teaching Hospitals and Institutes (Damanhour Teaching Hospital), and the Healthcare Authority – Ismailia branch (Ismailia Medical Complex).
This comes as part of the Egyptian Drug Authority’s commitment to supporting integration among healthcare institutions and adopting a collaborative approach that contributes to disseminating and implementing the latest pharmaceutical and therapeutic practices. Such efforts positively impact the quality of healthcare services provided to patients and enhance the overall efficiency of the healthcare system.
