Egyptian Drug Authority Releases the December 2025 Issue of the Pharmacy Practices Newsletter
The Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) has released the December 2025 issue of the Pharmacy Practices Journal, with the aim of enhancing the competencies of professionals working in the field of pharmaceutical care. This is achieved by presenting the latest topics and scientific references related to pharmacotherapy and pharmaceutical practices, in addition to various activities that promote community awareness through healthcare providers at the highest levels of efficiency and professionalism.
The issue includes an overview of the National Guideline for the Use of Antimicrobials in the Treatment of Infections Caused by Multidrug-Resistant Microorganisms, as well as recommendations for the management of resistant Enterobacterales infections and the treatment of diabetic foot.
It also features coverage of the Future Fighters against AMR program, implemented by the Egyptian Drug Authority in cooperation with the World Health Organization (WHO). The program aims to prepare pharmacy students to carry out community awareness activities on antimicrobial resistance. In addition, the issue highlights the latest news on pharmaceutical care initiatives during the period from September to November 2025.
This comes as part of the Authority’s ongoing efforts to develop pharmaceutical practices and strengthen the professional role of pharmacists within the healthcare system.
