The Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) announced its successful completion of the accreditation visit conducted by the Egyptian Accreditation Council (EGAC) on October 21, 2025, at the Hazardous Materials Analysis Laboratory of the Central Administration for Pharmaceutical Control located at the Authority’s premises in Mansouria.

The Authority confirmed that passing this visit comes as part of its commitment to enhancing the efficiency of its regulatory system and ensuring the quality and accuracy of laboratory analysis results, in addition to its adherence to the highest quality standards and the ISO/IEC 17025 international standard related to laboratory competence. This also reflects the Authority’s continued efforts to develop the infrastructure of its laboratories to ensure the highest levels of reliability in pharmaceutical analysis results.

The EGAC team praised the technical and administrative performance of the EDA laboratory staff and the accuracy of the operational systems applied in the laboratory, which reflects the continuous efforts of the Egyptian Drug Authority in supporting the regulatory system for pharmaceutical products and related materials.

The Authority affirms that this accreditation represents an important step in the path of institutional excellence and the development of its laboratory capabilities, contributing to strengthening confidence at both the local and international levels in the quality of the Egyptian pharmaceutical regulatory system
