Under the Patronage of H.E. the President of the Republic, the Egyptian Drug Authority Participates in the Second Africa Health ExCon
The Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) is participating as a principal supporter and strategic partner in the Second Edition of Africa Health ExCon 2023, held under the patronage of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, from 6 to 9 June 2023. The event is organized by the Egyptian Authority for Unified Procurement, Medical Supply and Technology Management (UPA) and takes place at the Egypt International Exhibition Center (EIEC) and the Al Manara International Conference Center in Cairo.
The exhibition and conference aim to strengthen engagement with healthcare systems across African countries by facilitating the exchange of expertise and enhancing Egyptian-African cooperation in healthcare business and investment. The event also highlights the latest advances in health technologies worldwide and seeks to establish Egypt and Africa as a continental hub for innovation and trade in the healthcare sector.
The Egyptian Drug Authority's participation includes a dedicated exhibition pavilion throughout the event. In addition, the Authority contributes to the scientific programme through four specialized lectures addressing a broad range of topics related to pharmaceutical products and medical devices. These sessions bring together a distinguished panel of speakers and experts from Egypt and various African, Arab, and international countries, fostering scientific exchange and promoting collaboration among key stakeholders.
This participation forms part of the Egyptian Drug Authority's ongoing coordination with all national institutions involved in the healthcare sector and reflects its commitment to supporting Egypt's vision of becoming a regional center for innovation and manufacturing in the fields of pharmaceuticals and medical devices.
Furthermore, the Authority's efforts are aligned with the State's strategy to promote the localization of advanced and innovative medical products and to deepen domestic manufacturing capabilities for products of critical importance to Egyptian patients, thereby strengthening pharmaceutical security and ensuring sustainable access to high-quality healthcare products.
