"The Egyptian Drug Authority announced the completion of the third cycle of the training program on upgrading the capability of community pharmacists.

In cooperation with one of the multinational pharmaceutical companies in Egypt, Egyptian Drug Authority's- Center for Continuing Professional Development organized a scientific day for the community pharmacists in Luxor governorate to discuss the latest methods of combating antibiotic resistance and to highlight on the importance of the role of community pharmacists in curbing the spread of the misuse of antibiotics.

Discussions took place on the efforts of the Egyptian Drug Authority to combat commercial fraud, on ways to reduce its spread, on the clarification of the latest mechanisms for dealing with commercial fraud worldwide, on how to prevent it, and on how to report it.

This comes within the Egyptian Drug Authority's efforts to clarify the mechanism for dealing with commercial fraud, how it can be prevented, and how it can be reported. This is done through the provision of training programs, practical workshops, and professional programs, which have been developed and intensified and are designed specifically in accordance with the needs of pharmacists and public pharmacists in the various governorates of the Republic."
