As part of the Egyptian Drug Authority's efforts to protect public health, the General Administration for Pharmacy Practice and Drug Utilization organizes comprehensive awareness programs aimed at raising pharmacists' efficiency and enhancing community drug awareness. These efforts focus on the following main pillars:
- First: Educational Initiatives: Such as the "Your Medication... Your Safety" initiative for public awareness, and the "Aware Pharmacist... Aware Community" initiative for professional development.
- Second: Guideline Introduction Programs: Specifically, the "Guide to Guide" programs.
- Third: Awareness and Experience Exchange Initiatives: Represented by the "Experience Exchange Center" initiative among healthcare institutions.
- Fourth: Community Outreach Initiatives: Including the "Our Elders... A Trust" initiative for elderly care.
- Fifth: Awareness Campaigns: Including drug awareness campaigns such as the "Antimicrobial Awareness Campaign" and the "Qataef Dawa'eya" campaign.
- Finally, Academic Awareness Visits: To universities such as the British University in Egypt (BUE) and the Faculty of Pharmacy for Girls at Al-Azhar University.
