Inclusion of AU Evaluation Of Medicinal Products Technical Committee (EMP-TC)Members as Observers on the EMA's Human Medicines Products Committee to transfer expertise that serves the effectiveness of the operations that will be applied in the African Medicines Agency. The title was included for the members in June 2024, reflecting the leading capabilities of Egypt and the EDA in the most prominent international forums.

The Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA), represented by the Central Administration of Biological Products innovative and clinical studies, participated in the ""African Medicines Agency Assessors' Visit and Training"" workshop organized by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) in the Netherlands from 24 to 27 June 2024, upon the invitation of the EMA.

The workshop discussed the challenges facing African health authorities in strengthening the regulatory system, as well as ways to achieve fruitful cooperation between EU partners.

This comes within the framework of the EDA's continuous development to establish a network of strategic international relations and strive for the success of the establishment of the African Medicines Agency."
