Egyptian Drug Authority Hosts Sudanese National Council for Medicines and Poisons Delegation to Discuss Enhanced Bilateral Cooperation
Dr. Ali Al-Ghamrawy, Chairman of the EDA, welcomed Dr. Ali Babiker, Secretary General of the Sudanese National Council for Medicines and Poisons, and the accompanying delegation. This meeting is part of the EDA's commitment to supporting and enhancing health and pharmaceutical cooperation with African nations.
At the start of the meeting, Dr. Al-Ghamrawy welcomed the Sudanese delegation, expressing his pride in the historical relations between the two nations. He affirmed the EDA's keenness to expand areas of cooperation in pharmaceutical regulation, which contributes to enhancing national capacities and achieving shared pharmaceutical security. He explained that the National Council for Medicines and Poisons is a crucial strategic partner on the African stage, especially given the shared challenges in ensuring the availability of safe, effective, and high-quality medicines, which supports the path toward regional integration.
Al-Ghamrawy also noted that the EDA prioritizes supporting sister African countries with its regulatory and technical expertise, and working to exchange knowledge and successful experiences, which contributes to the development of systems for pharmaceutical registration, manufacturing, and control, and ultimately achieves the goals of sustainable health security on the continent.
For his part, Dr. Ali Babiker expressed his appreciation for the warm reception, commending the qualitative achievements made by the Egyptian Drug Authority that have reinforced its position as a regional reference center in the field of pharmaceutical regulation and industry. He affirmed his aspiration to expand cooperation with Egypt to develop Sudan's health and pharmaceutical system, and open new horizons for pharmaceutical integration between the two countries and all other African states.

· Dr. Mohab Fady, Head of the Central Administration for Licensing of Pharmaceutical Establishments
· Dr. Hamada Gamal, Associate to the Chairman for Updating and Developing Registration Systems for pharmaceutical Products and General Manager of General Administration for Human Pharmaceutical Registration.
