EDA Chairman Discusses Expanding Investments and Enhancing Local Manufacturing with Hikma Pharmaceuticals
Dr. Ali El-Ghamrawy, Chairman of the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA), held a meeting with representatives of Hikma Pharmaceuticals, headed by Mr. Tamer Gerdana, Chairman and Managing Director of Hikma Egypt. The meeting comes within the framework of the EDA’s periodic meetings with pharmaceutical companies operating in the Egyptian market, aimed at following up on sector developments and exploring avenues of joint cooperation in a manner that supports local manufacturing, encourages investment, and ensures the quality of pharmaceutical products circulating in the market in accordance with approved regulatory standards.
During the meeting, Dr. El-Ghamrawy emphasized the importance of continued cooperation and coordination with pharmaceutical companies to support the national pharmaceutical industry, ensure the sustainability of medicine availability, and maintain product quality.
